I leave to go to a conference and while I'm gone there's a 5.2 earthquake on the western border of Indiana.
Not fair. -_-

I would like to say everything has gone smoothly the last few days. I'd be lying if I did. Instead I've:
- Gotten a badge with my University's abbreviation spelled wrong (there's two letter missing and a random Y in it) despite my repeating it five times to the guy printing out my registration.
- Gotten on the wrong train once
- Walked down the wrong street to get to my hotel once prompting a hilarious scene where I'm standing on one side of a seven lane highway looking across it and wondering "Why the hell is my hotel over there?!?"
- been reminded that Boston is "The Walking City." My feet would riot if I walked any more today.
- fallen on people while trying to quietly leave in the middle of a talk. Needless to say it was not quiet when I pitched over and took out three people. I was so glad for the misspelling of my University at that moment.
Otherwise, it's been pretty good. I unfortunately missed what I term the Gay Cowboys in Geography talk (remind me when I'm back to type up some of the names of talks. Especially the ones in the Queer identity and Geography series). It was at 8am and I just could not get myself out there in time.
And now, friend's list.

I am currently in Boston. The plane ride was fine except for the fact that the descent made me nauseated. Ugh. I managed to get on the T, find the conference hotel, get registered at the conference, back on the T and find my hotel with only a little trouble. My head is bothering me and I'm going to take pain killers in a few minutes. The cleaning staff is vacuuming outside my room so no nap for me though I could really use one.
I'm so glad this place has internet. XD

My plane leaves in a few hours. Soon I will be in the depths of a professional conference. I'm getting ready to finish up my packing and the last thing that'll get packed is my computer. Final post before I go. Be good. Have fun. Don't do both at once.
My friend's list is going to be huge by the time I get back.

Today I:
- Did two loads of laundry.
- Re-registered my car
- Paid my car insurance
- Finally paid my state taxes (federal and NC taxes were taken care of a while ago)
- Got myself a wireless mouse for the computer
- Finished my Annotated Bibliography for class
Tomorrow I'm going to work on homework and pack. Hopefully I won't want to die when I come back from the conference and realize all that I have to do in the next two weeks. I'm kind of excited to be heading to Boston. At least my panic has mellowed into the feeling of "If it's not done by now, it's not going to be done."

Dear airlines,
Please to be getting your act together because if I do not fly out on Tuesday I will be DISPLEASED and I will make my displeasure KNOWN.
No love,
Tsaiko

Well, I just registered and plunked down a good chunk of change on plane tickets. Looks like I really am going to Boston in April. Only thing left to do is get a hotel room.
