Oh AUs. Why do I love you so?

When Dr. Strange first saw the small blue and white dragon perched on Billy's shoulder, he was impressed that Billy had managed to call a familiar.

He was less impressed once he found that a) Billy didn't know how to call a familiar, b) Billy had summoned the dragon when he'd screwed up another spell entirely, and c) the dragon used to be Billy's iPod.

I can't believe that after spending all afternoon writing my thesis I come home... and write. Something is obviously wrong with me. I'm typing this directly into my LJ, so I imagine it's going to be full of errors.

Okay, I a little better now.

Even though the clock this morning said 6am, my body was still on PST and was convinced it was 3am. I am so tired right now. Damn time zones. So instead of working on my thesis and havign to redo everything tomorrow when I'm more awake, I wrote Young Avengers drabbles. First one is something I wrote in attilatehbun's comments. The other four are evenly divided between my weird sense of humor and AU's that will never get written.

My urge to write has pretty much rolled over and died. I've been working on other projects until it resurrects itself. I did manage to get part of a House of M AU written before it croaked. I just like this part because I think Tommy's frustration is funny.

( Tommy found out very quickly that being arrested produced short bursts of activity followed quickly by a long stretches of boredom. )

It has no place in the story, but I kind of want to write the cops reaction when he calls that number and gets put through to Eric Magnus, ruler of Genosha. There's a cop that just about craps his pants. XD

miome and I like to play around with different ideas, especially in the Young Avengers universe. Most of these ideas wind up being AU and a lot of them are full of the crack. And the porn. Definitely the porn. We also give these universes a short name so that when we start running through the plot/ideas, the other knows which universe we're talking about and we don't have to spend a lot of time back tracking and explaining. We have the "Teddy is a stripper" universe, the "War Mage" universe, the "Billy is a vampire" universe and others. The most recent of these is something we've termed the "Billy & Tommy are incubi" universe.

It came to the part in the story where we were trying to figure out just how Billy and Tommy became incubi. There's actually a mostly canon way and a non-canon way of going about this. ( spoiler alert )

The non-canon way has Wanda being a succubus. At which point my sense of humor took over.

"So... instead of the Scarlet Witch, would her code name be the Scarlet Letter?"

I got hit with a pillow and almost smothered with blankets for that one. XD

As a side note, Firefox's automatic spellcheck does not recognize the plural form of incubus (incubi) or succubus (succubi) as a real words. I guess I shouldn't be too surprised. This is the same spell checker that doesn't recognize "leapt" as a real word either. -_-

This is the rough outline of the dream I had this morning when I slept. Yes, I do dream in complete storylines. Most times they even makes sense.

Note to self: Make a Young Avengers icon.

Premise: What if Billy had wound up with the Shepherd's and Tommy had wound up with the Kaplans?

Started poking through my files and finally got around to cleaning up this bit of story. I still think the idea of a support group specifically for vampirism is hilarious. Not finished. Don't know if I'll ever get around to writing more.

"You don't have to worry," Teddy said. "You'll be under my protection." Then he winced. He hadn't meant to say that.

"Your protection? From who? From what?" Billy asked. Teddy refused to answer. "Wonderful. You mean you're not some hot, lone kidnapper who goes around seducing men before kidnapping them?"

I cannot believe I just said that.

Silence. Teddy cleared his throat. "Actually... you're the only person I've ever really seduced."

"Oh," Billy said. "Well... um... that's good to know."

"So... you think I'm hot?" Teddy knew he was blushing, but he was no where near as red as Billy was.

"Can we pretend I never said that?"
