Pumpkins in a pot?

  • Oct. 3rd, 2008 at 8:08 PM
gourd!
I am seriously considering ordering seeds for a Cheyenne Bush Pumpkin for next year and growing them in the large pot that I used for the Cherokee Purple tomato. It says it can be grown in a large pot, but I'm not sure I believe it. Still, it could be interesting. I'd love to have fresh pumpkin. I am intrigued.

I also have the perfect icon for this. XD

I am too! I wouldn't normally attempt to grow a vining plant like that in a pot, but they say you can. I'm a little worried that it produces a lot of 5-8 lbs pumpkins though. That just doesn't normally say "pot" to me. I am thrilled that one of the crosses is a pie pumpkin. Mmm... fresh pumpkin pie...
