MANGINAS AHOY

Dear authors of m/m romance,

I swear to gourd, I have seen $1.99 romance novel heroines with more balls than your characters. Less flighty and prone to changing their damn minds too. I have said it before, and I'll say it again: YOU DO NOT NEED TO TURN YOUR CHARACTERS INTO WHINY BITCHES IN ORDER TO MAKE THEM INTERESTING.

No love,
Tsaiko

WORD.

Why is it so hard to find m/m characters who also happen to be kickass peeps? ;_;

I don't even require that they be kickass. Just that they, oh I don't know, approximate human beings instead of walking, talking stereotypes that have been neutered.

Whoa! What bought this on? o.O

I have seen so many Harry/Draco fic like that when one or the other (or in one traumatizing case, BOTH) were worse that little girls. -_- I thought if you're in into the m/m fic, you might want to be reading, y'know, stuff on two MEN (not men who sekretly want to have a sex change in the stereotypical girl). ^^;

You are not alone!

I was reading a e-book. A terrible, terrible e-book that I could not even get half-way through before sending it to the trashcan and deleting it off my system.

I seriously don't get why people have the urge to turn their male characters into women. I mean, I don't require them to be big, burly, manly men, but I'd like them not to be weepy and whiny and act like teenage girls. Seriously.

o.O But didn't you pay hard cash for it?

YES. I am around enough mangina in real life, I don't need to read it, too.

"Mangina" and the phrase "in real life" do not ever, ever, ever belong in a sentence together. I cry. ;_;

There is always an abundance of mangina in the theatre. Some days it's funny, and some days I feel like I have more testosterone than all of them combined.

I'm guilty of this, sadly. ._.

Bah! You have plot and interesting characters and if you feminize your characters a little bit (which I don't believe AT ALL), the sheer awesomeness of your stories more than makes up. Your characters don't whine, and when they do, your other characters call them on their shenanigans.

Hallelujah! Down with the pussy men!

XD I totally agree. The stories could be so much better if they didn't act like they were pregnant women. Christ, even pregnant women have more will power and are less prone to tears then some of these boys!
