I finally agree to spend next week helping my internship do site visits for what I've been mapping and NOW you email me back saying that next week is when you'll be sampling the lakes for my project? After I email you two weeks ago about this?!?! ARGH!

Looks like I'll be doing some emailing back and forth today to get this settled. I have got to go out and sample these lakes for my thesis. Sigh...

That's the sort of thing that really grates my cheese. If they don't know, just let them say they don't know and that they'll get back to you ASAP. If they do know, let them stick to that time frame, unless it's an emergency, and then let them inform others involved just a teensy bit more ahead of time that stuff has to be rescheduled.

I mean, I'm not perfect, even where situations like that are concerned. But they do piss me off when people do them to me, so I try to avoid doing them to others. It just seems downright inconsiderate.

Luckily, I had informed my internship that there was a chance this would happen since I hadn't heard anything back. Today was going to be the last day I could back out of going before they would have gone ahead and booked me a room and rented a car. But it just irks me that he couldn't email me back right away with a "plans are still indefinite, but looks to be around this time." That's all I really needed so I could keep block of time relatively free.

Now instead of prepping for one project, I get to switch gears totally and prep for another.
