digimon
One time, Randy Beaman's mom was listening to the local rock station. This song came on and she thought "Boy, this group sounds like they want to be Green Day very badly. Only they're not good at it." And she proceeded to make fun of the song because it was so angsty and pseudo-Green Day. She laughed and laughed.

Then, she found out it actually was Green Day.

Okay, bye now.

I think I heard the song you're talking about on the radio last night, and I remembered when Green Day was like, what gothic people listened to. Le sigh...

I never said it was good. I just remember when it was less... generic sounding? I mean, songs from U2's latest album makes me want to shove cotton in my ears and yell "La La La La" at the top of my voice. However, when a song from it comes on I can still recognize it as U2. I can't say the same for Green Day any more.
